2023-8-26: Crystal mining in Arkansas!!
We had a long list of places to visit - Tahiti, Australia, Stonehenge, Madagascar, and we finally decided to pull the trigger and knock one off the bucket list. We packed the car and headed down to Arkansas! What's in Arkansas everyone kept asking, why are you going there. I had to refer a few of the more unruly questions over to my chief mentor Dave. All had the same answer - world class crystal mining.
There are a bunch of crystal mines down there open to the public and for a small fee you can try your luck digging and collecting some crystals for yourself. After much debate, we chose the Avatar Mine near Mt. Ida Arkansas. The pictures say the rest...

After a quick intro with Bee and paying our entry fee, we started to check out the mine
The ground was literally sparkling from all of the crystals. This picture doesn't do it justice.
There were a couple other people trying their luck as well
